Surgical Correction for C-section Scars

The excess skin created by a C-section may be corrected by a tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty procedure. As with all other aspects of plastic surgery, proper treatment comes from making a proper diagnosis.  There are three factors which contribute to the bulge: a tight band of scar tissue underneath the original C-section scar, excess fat in the lower abdomen, and loose skin.  I educate my Chicago patients, about the relative contribution of each of these factors that will determine the best treatment.

Advantages of Laser Lipoplasty

The most important factors that lead to success with liposuction are the skill, credentials, and experience of the surgeon who performs the procedure.  That said laser liposuction has several advantages: the ability to be done under local anesthesia, significant tightening of the treated zones, smaller incisions, and a quick recovery period.  Consultations on the advantages of Laser Liposuction are made by appointment in our offices in Chicago and Winnetka.

Cellulaze® Technology

Cellulaze® Technology

Cellulaze® Technology is recently approved by the FDA for long-term reduction of the appearance of cellulite with a single treatment. This marks a significant advance in the treatment of this common disorder typically found in the thighs and buttocks.

Tummy Tuck Techniques

I offer my Chicago patients a wide range of Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) techniques.  Each patient has a unique anatomy and specific set of personal needs.  It is important to explore these issues so that we can select the best possible option.  I share several patient experiences per the different techniques I offer in this article.

SlimLipo® Laser Lipoplasty

SlimLipo® Laser Lipoplasty

Slimmer Arms with SlimLipo® Laser Lipoplasty produces a greater degree of tightening than other techniques, so it opens up new possibilities for the treatment of fatty deposits in the arms. Traditional techniques of liposuction when applied to the arm tend to leave loose skin, and many patients are reluctant to accept the scars of the brachioplasty technique.
